Peace Lutheran School strives to provide a well balanced musical experience in
a Christ-centered atmosphere.
* provides opportunities for children at all levels to develop an appreciation
and understanding of music.
* Helps students develop their God given ability to sing.
* allows students to experience music participation through regular classroom
instruction as they:
-rehearse as a classroom choir.
-learn to play a band instrument (grades 4-8).
-rehearse as an elective choir member (grades 5-8).
-learn to play chimes (grades 1 & 2)
-learn to play the recorder (grades 3 & 4)
-participate in hand bell choirs (grades 5 - 8)
* Through the band and guitar program, students will have the:
-opportunity to learn in small groups, and with individualized instruction.
-opportunity to participate in band and guitar concerts
* Through public performance they:
-participate in several public performances throughout the year.
-participate in Advent programs (grades PS-8).
-participate in spring programs (grades 5-8)
-participate in musical competitions in L.E.S.T in Portland, Oregon
